Muutamia vuosia takaperin en ajatellut olevani rohkea, itseasiassa ajattelin että sana rohkea tarkoittaa samaa kuin uhkarohkea. Nyt ajan myötä olen myös ymmärtänyt sen olevan ihan eri asia. Ja nykyään pidän itseänikin rohkeana. Mun mielestä rohkeus on sitä, että uskaltaa olla aidosti sitä mitä on. Olla välittämästä muiden mielipiteistä pätkääkään, uskaltaa elää niinkuin haluaa, tavoitella unelmiaan, puolustaa kiusattuja ja syrjittyjä, tuoda oma mielipiteensä muidenkin ilmoille. Myös omien virheidensä myöntämistä. Olen rohkea, koska olen pystynyt antamaan anteeksi niille, jotka on mulle tehny väärin ja oon seurannut unelmiani ja tehnyt vaikeita päätöksiä niiden eteen ja nämä päätökset johdattivat minut nyt asumaan Tampereelle kolmeksi vuodeksi.

Toisille rohkea teko voi olla kieltäytyminen jostain asiasta, esimerkiksi päihteistä. Toisille se voi olla anteeksiantaminen, kuten minulla oli tai irtipäästäminen. Meillä kaikilla on asioita, joita jännitämme ja pelkäämme. Mutta mistä minä löysin rohkeuden, kun tarvitsin sitä? Itse löydän sen rukoilemalla ja lukemalla Raamattua. Luotan Jumalan hyvyyteen ja siihen, että asiat järjestyvät tavalla tai toisella. Myös optimistinen elämänasenne auttaa paljon.

Emme valitettavasti voi tietää mitä tulevaisuus saattaa tuoda tullessaan, mutta meidän pitää ottaa vain siitä selvää ja elettävä elämää. Rohkeus on valinta, jonka voit vain itse valita.

Haluan sanoo vielä, että vatii rohkeutta tehdä eri lailla kuin massat, se vaatii uskallusta, olla ylpeesti erilainen. Jokainen meistä on uniikki, joten miksi emme me voisi korostaa omaa persoonallisuuttamme? – ne ovat vain plussaa, eikä sitä pitäisi muuttaa.
